If you did not have a chance to participate in the new fundraising event, Walk-n-Roll, you missed a great time!

This has become my favorite event.  I appreciate the fact that so many of the people we support were able to attend and participate.  I love this event due to the fact that it is accessible to everyone who has special needs.  All abilities were able to enjoy the day!  Many individuals that we support were able to share the day with their family members who also attended.  Not many of our fundraising events have that same "family friendly" appeal.  I hope to see even more family participation at next year's Walk-n-Roll event. 

Despite this being the first year of hosting this event, it was quite successful.  Pam, Brian, and the event committee pulled this event together in a relatively short period of time.  They had to  squeeze it in-between other existing events.  That took a lot of effort and creativity to pull off.  I am especially proud of their efforts and success. 

I am also really proud of the teamwork and effort that Direct Support Professionals put in to get so many of the people we support to the event.  Once everyone arrived, our staff did a great job of supporting people to get something to eat, participate in the fun activities, and then engage in the walk around Apache Mall. 

Thank you to everyone who attended, helped, or volunteered.  I believe this will become our most anticipated event each year.
