Individuals supported in Bear Creek Independent Living Services programs have had their jobs severely impacted by the virus! These individuals have developmental disabilities and are classified as low income, even before their jobs were disrupted. These individuals already utilize Channel 1, but still face shortages of easy to make meals and other basic household items.
If you would like to drop some items off to Bear Creek Services, it would be greatly appreciated!
Examples of easy-to-make food items:
Mac and cheese
Hamburger Helper
Soups
Rice a Roni
Canned Corn
Canned Green beans
Pasta
Pasta sauce – Alfredo or tomato
Some frozen items are OK, but we don’t want too many frozen items
Non-food related items we can use:
Hand soap
Dish soap
Feminine products
Toilet paper
Paper towels
Kitchen garbage bags
Additional comments:
- We ask that nobody prepare foods. Pre-packaged / canned or boxed items only.
- The drop-off location is the Bear Creek Services office --- 3108 Highway 52 N, Rochester.
- Please call or email the Bear Creek Services office before dropping items off. The office will be minimally staffed for a while. We want to make sure someone will be present to accept your donation.
Thank you for helping individuals supported in our programs!
Sincerely,
Linda Driessen
