Bear Creek Services, Inc. a private, non-profit organization that provides quality support to individuals with developmental disabilities is currently hiring for a full-time Program Director responsible for overseeing the agency’s residential programs. This position directs professional and direct care staff providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position functions as part of the management team which supports compliance with local, state, and federal laws.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field and five years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Five years experience in developing and implementing individual’s program, budget implementation, and staff management and supervision.

Education and experience to meet the requirements as a qualified professional under 245D standards.

A good understanding of and commitment to Person-Centered Supports and Services.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Minnesota driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:

Knowledge of local, state, and federal rules and regulations governing Developmental Disabilities and brain injury programs.

Knowledge of the methods and techniques of planning and implementing habilitation training and activities programs for people with developmental disabilities or brain injury.

Knowledge of community programs and resources.

Experience in the implementation of positive behavioral support strategies and plans.

Knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization, and administration.

Skill in planning and implementing training and activities programs for people with developmental disabilities or brain injury.

Ability to work effectively with adults with developmental disabilities, staff, and community members and various stakeholders.

Ability to assess situation, exercise good judgment, and remain calm in response to routine and unexpected situations.

Ability to exercise judgment in delegation of responsibilities to staff according to their abilities and experience.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to evaluate, design, and implement residential program components.

Ability to develop policies, procedures and standards for services and programs offered.

Ability to provide guidance and direction to staff in assigned area of responsibility to ensure quality of care.

Ability to utilize various forms of technology, such as computers, internet, social media, and electronic devices.
