Bear Creek Services, Inc. a private, non-profit organization that provides quality support to individuals with developmental disabilities is currently hiring for a full-time  Program Coordinator (PC) that oversees the operations of the residential home including resident person centered plan and staffing support needs. This position directs direct care staff providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. 


Minimum Qualifications:  


Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years experience in the field of developmental disabilities, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities of the Designated Coordinator as outlined in 245D.  


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:


  • Understanding of local, state, and federal rules and regulations governing Developmental Disabilities and brain injury programs.
  • Understanding of the methods and techniques of person centered planning and activities programs for people with developmental disabilities or brain injury.
  • Knowledge of community programs and resources.
  • Understanding of the implementation of positive behavioral support strategies and plans.
  • Understanding of the principles of supervision, organization, and administration.
  • Skill in planning and supporting activities and person centered program plans for people with developmental disabilities or brain injury.
  • Ability to work effectively with adults with disabilities, staff, and community members and various stakeholders.
  • Ability to asses situation, exercise good judgment, and remain calm in response to routine and unexpected situations.
  • Ability to exercise judgment in delegation of responsibilities to staff according to their abilities and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand English and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to evaluate, design, and implement residential program components.
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures and standards for services and programs offered.
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to staff in assigned area of responsibility to ensure quality of care.
  • Ability to utilize various forms of technology, such as computers, internet, social media, and electronic devices.


This position includes working on-call one night a week and one weekend a month.
